Preparing our students for their future is the aim of everything we do as teachers. Having programs or units of work that are authentic in nature is a great way to help develop the skills of lifelong learning in our students which will serve them well for their future.
By attending this workshop you will be guided through the process of creating a gourmet unit or program based on research and inquiry based learning. This workshop brings together elements of project-based learning, critical inquiry, and Understanding By Design as well as aspects from Hattie’s books and some of the best parts of internationally recognised unit design processes that help to ensure learning is rich, engaging, authentic, and meaningful for our students as we best prepare them for their futures.
Completing the Creating Gourmet Programs Workshop will contribute 5 hours and 30 minutes of NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) Registered PD addressing 3.1.2, 3.2.2 and 3.3.2 from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers towards maintaining Proficient Teacher Accreditation in NSW.
